Experience
With over a decade of experience in the field of psychological therapy, I bring a rich and diverse background to my work with clients. My journey began with a BA Honours in Psychology, followed by a Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology, where I developed a strong foundation in understanding human behaviour and mental health from both scientific and therapeutic perspectives.
Early in my career, I worked in psychiatric inpatient settings, where I had the opportunity to assess and support individuals facing a wide range of complex mental health conditions. Working closely alongside psychiatrists and multidisciplinary teams, I was actively involved in developing and delivering therapeutic interventions tailored to the needs of each individual. This experience gave me a deep appreciation for the complexity of psychological disorders and the importance of compassionate, evidence-based care.
I later worked within a school setting as a school counsellor, supporting children and young people in collaboration with a school psychologist. While this was a valuable and enriching experience, it was through this work that I discovered my true passion—supporting adults through their emotional and psychological challenges. Since then, I have focused my practice exclusively on working with adults, and have spent the past 10+ years helping individuals navigate difficulties such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and chronic health conditions.
My therapeutic approach is rooted in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), and I am particularly passionate about integrating Islamic principles into the therapeutic process. This allows me to offer a faith-informed model of care that speaks to both the mind and the soul. I believe that by weaving together spiritual values and psychological insight, therapy can be deeply meaningful and transformative.
I take pride in working with individuals from all walks of life and am committed to providing culturally sensitive therapy that respects each person’s unique identity and background.
In addition to my private practice at Nafscare Therapy, I also work as a psychotherapist within an NHS Trust in England. This dual role keeps me connected to both the clinical rigor of the public health sector and the personalised care I offer in private practice.
