Cognitive Behavioural Therapy

What is CBT?
Cognitive Behavioural Therapy is a structured, evidence-based psychological treatment recommended by the NHS and NICE guidelines. It focuses on the connection between our thoughts, feelings, and behaviours, helping individuals develop healthier patterns of thinking and responding. CBT is widely recognised for its effectiveness in treating anxiety, depression, trauma-related conditions, and physical health issues with psychological impact.

My approach to CBT
While I use established CBT protocols, my approach is never one-size-fits-all. I adapt each treatment plan to suit the unique values, cultural context, and personal beliefs of the individual I’m working with. For clients who wish to integrate their faith into therapy, I offer a style of CBT that draws upon Islamic principles—such as tawakkul (trust in Allah), sabr(patience), and shukr (gratitude)—to deepen insight and support healing in a way that feels both clinically effective and spiritually grounded.

Whether you’re facing emotional challenges or navigating physical health conditions, CBT can offer you practical tools, a deeper understanding of yourself, and a path toward meaningful change.

Fees & Appointments

Each therapy session lasts up to 50 minutes and is charged at £65.

Your first appointment will be an initial assessment, where we’ll explore the difficulties you’re facing, your goals for therapy, and which approach would best support your needs. This session also gives you the opportunity to ask any questions and get a feel for how we might work together.

I understand that financial circumstances can vary, and I aim to make therapy as accessible as possible. Concessions may be available depending on individual circumstances—please feel free to discuss this with me.
